Huila is the largest coffee-growing region in Colombia and farmers have long produced Cup of Excellence winning lots, which are known for their bright acidity and strong fruity profile. A purple Caturra coffee that was naturally-processed by Rodrigo Sanchez Valencia and his wife Claudia Samboni in the tradition of coffee cultivation that was passed down by Rodrigo’s grandfather.
Expect a lively acidity with a full and creamy mouthfeel, reminiscent of a fresh apple cider. A delicate, but notable, aftertaste of almond extract or marzipan hangs around on the palate long after the last sip is gone. A pompous, exotic, and frankly pricey coffee that’s truly worth trying!
